this friend whom i haven spoken to for a long time suddenly came online and initiated a conversation, so we started talking.
it was probably half a minute into our convo, when i sensed that he was going through a rough patch, so i asked. it turned out that he's in one of the valleys of his life, but no one else knew. he started pouring out all that's within him, all his frustrations about church/ministry etcetc.
as i lent my ear, and offered some advice, many thoughts were running through my mind. thoughts like, how making God the foundation of it ALL, is so impt. there were certain things i said, i felt like i was almost preaching to myself ; about attitudes, about being patient, about how knowing all yet applying none is as good as knowing nothing, and the list goes on..
counselling isnt easy at all, because i've got to first overcome that problem which the person's gg thru before i can really understand and offer suggestions.
but each time i counsel, i realised that it's the time when i'm most reliant on God for his wisdom. it's the time when i'm very sensitive to His voice. it's the time when i've got to lean on the discernment that God has given, to know, to understand, to counsel.
it's Building Funds in 2 weeks time! wow, amazing how time flies.
im barely prayed up for it, but i've been starting to! its not just something of the natural realm when we sacrifice finances. it's all about the spiritual too. it's like a spiritual warfare. it's also like sowing into the everlasting life and heavenly riches that's promised.
i can hardly comprehend how time passes.
it's THE day tmr, and all i can say is that i've chosen to give God His praises no matter what the grades might be. i want to be strong, so that i could be the smile and light in the storms of the lives of others.
